What should I expect during my photo shoot?
You should expect to have a blast! Prior to your photo session, I will be in contact with you so that I can learn more about what you are hoping to accomplish with your photos and more about who you are. During your session, I will be dedicated to helping you (and anyone else being photographed) feel at ease and confident. Guiding you through different poses, prompting you with specific actions, and not being afraid to act silly in order to illicit real smiles are just a few of things I will do to accomplish that.
What should I wear?
The type of photo shoot that you have booked will determine the type of outfit that you wear and the amount of outfit changes you may have. My general rule is that you should be comfortable in the outfit that you choose, it should be flattering, and it should fit with the location that you have picked. As far as coordinating outfits goes, I suggest making sure that your colors compliment one another and that there is some sort of variation. Try avoiding heavy patterns, colors that clash, clothes that you don't feel confident in, et cetera. After booking your session and locking down a location, I will be more than happy to help you with your outfit choices if you are having a difficult time!
When will I get my photos?
Portrait photo shoots take about 2-3 weeks (depending on the package that you purchased) to be delivered.
Weddings take up to 6-9 weeks to be delivered.
No matter what, you will never have to wait long for a sneak-peek! (Go ahead and like my Facebook Page for updates and sneak-peeks.)
What if I need to reschedule my session?
I understand that life happens and I am more than happy to reschedule sessions. I kindly request that your photo shoot be rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. When I book your session, I set aside a specific amount of time, just for you, and will not book another session that interferes with my ability to provide you with the best experience. If you cancel or reschedule more than two times, I will require a $50 non-refundable retainer fee for the next session time that you book.
If you have a question about rescheduling or cancelling a booked wedding, please contact me at nicole@nduboisphotos.com immediately.
What can I do with my photographs once I receive them?
You can print them, post them online, make a coffee table book, put them on cards, et cetera. When you receive your images, they will be accompanied by a print release.
I maintain the copyright of the images and require that any use, other than personal use, has my written consent (for example, cutest kid contests). When you post your images on social media, I ask that you include "Nicole Du Bois Photography" in the album information or on individual images. On Instagram, you may also include #nduboisphotos. Please do not crop or otherwise alter the images. (I understand that using images on a card may require an image to be cropped and that is okay.) If you have any questions on the matter, don't hesitate to contact me! This part can get confusing and I am here to help.
